Actress Karena Lam and Karen Mok from Hong Kong, Lin Chiling from Taiwan, and Zhou Xun and Vicki Zhao Wei from the mainland are among the stars who will attend the event. Famous pop star Coco Lee will also give performance.

Hong Kong director Peter Ho-Sun Chan's "The Warlord," has received 12 award nominations for various awards, while the Taiwanese film "Cape No.7," a romantic comedy by Wei Te-Sheng, has garnered nine award nominations. The film, which has generated the most box-office revenue in Taiwan's film industry, is widely expected to be the night's big winner.

Movie star Jet Li has been nominated as best actor for portraying a general who turns against his sworn brother in "the Warlord," a drama by Hong Kong director Peter Ho-Sun Chan.
