Taiwan media reports that pop Queen A-mei will be taking over Dee Hsu as relieve host for singing competition "One Million Star" and schedules are currently being worked out.

Famous hosts Kevin Tsai and Dee Hsu were standing in for Momoko Tao as hosts for the competition while the latter goes on maternity leave. However, Dee announced her resignation on Nov 24 after recording the third and fourth episodes of the show, quoting family as the reason. Co-host Kevin subsequently expressed wishes to resign with Dee.

Executive producer of the programme, Chan Jen-hsiung, is currently hunting for a female relieve host, in hope for Kevin to continue hosting. "We need Kevin for the show and a female host to encourage the competitors," he says.

Also in media reports, Lin Chi-ling, Peggy Hou and Bianca Bai have been quoted as nominees for the hosting position, with Chi-ling predicted to be the one with the greatest possibility. However, both Kevin and Chan have denied that she is the person they are looking at. The good news now is that A-mei has expressed interests in standing in for one episode, but her time schedule is the most pertinent issue now.

A-mei's manager reveals, "The recording timing clashes with her performing schedule. Even though it is just one episode, we still need to work out the schedule."

Kevin also reveals that if his co-host is to be A-mei, he will be more than happy to continue hosting. "The stage of One Million Star is most suitable for A*mei," he says.
