Fahrenheit celebrates "Hit FM" s 10th birthday; Chun & Calvin interview

Asia’s most influential music station “Hit FM” celebrated its 10th birthday yesterday. Fahrenheit members Wu Zun and Calvin Chen specially headed to the radio station in the morning to participate in the celebration. When asked about the recent rumours with his co-worker Charlene Choi, Chun smiled and said, “We have some feelings but no electricity, we are just good friends, the rumours are all created by the media.” And as for the rumours about Jiro Wang and Chun not getting along, they re-surfaced again due to their celebration schedule, but Chun clarified: “We get along fine, the schedule is arranged by our management company.”

Chun is currently very popular and every time he films a drama or movie, he will always spark rumours with the female lead. Chun said very straight out: “I won’t be affected by these rumours, sparking rumours actually means that everytime I film something, I always have a good relationship with the cast/crew, that’s why the media will create such rumours. When facing these rumours, I will not avoid or not reply, like this time with Charlene, when we see the reports and articles about us, we will laugh together, because we are really only good friends.”

And during this FM celebration, Fahrenheit split up into 2 groups – Chun and Calvin, Jiro and Aaron. Chun and Calvin in the morning and Jiro and Aaron in the evening. Hence, this caused speculation that it is because Chun and Jiro do not get along, that is why the groups have been arranged like this. However, Chun clarified: “We get these rumours because of the media’s ‘help’, really, we get along fine, and it is our management company that arranges the groups and schedules.”

Chun, who is packed with work this year, and also being a boss himself, many people are curious about his earnings. He replied, “My earnings is not as much as people think, I don’t even have more than $10million. Although some work opportunities are very good, the earnings are not that much. Frankly speaking, if there is a good work opportunity, I will accept it even if it means losing money.” But what if the work opportunity is like Tony Leung’s “Lust, Caution”? Will Chun, with his amazing body, accept it? Chun modestly replied, “I won’t actually give myself any restrictions, but if it is something like Tony Leung filming ‘Lust, Caution’, then first of all, my acting must be as good as his, or my status is as high as his. Right now, I think that there is huge room for improvement in my acting, and also the concern raised with stripping is stereotyping.”

Although many are envious with Chun’s luck with work opportunities, Chun says that the entertainment circle is not his most important thing. He says: “The thing I am most interested in is fitness career. It’s not that I am not interested in the entertainment circle, but sometimes I will feel very unhappy because every year, I can only spend one month with my family. Often I can only keep in touch with them via phone and even on the phone, I will often feel very sad when talking to them.” Chun says that he has spoken with his management company and next year he will take a long holiday with no work to spend some quality time with his family. Calvin also nods and adds: “It has been 3 years since we entered the entertainment circle, but our holidays have never been longer than 5 days.”

In their upcoming concert, the 4 members of Fahrenheit have each planned solo dances and this caused curiosity about whether Fahrenheit will split up. Calvin expressed that Fahrenheit will not split up, but each of them will develop in different areas, like himself, when he saw Selina’s hosting success, he is also interested in trying out hosting. As for Chun, he hopes that he can get the chance to release his own book, because he himself really enjoys reading. However, although he has a good body, he is not planning on releasing a pictorial book but rather considering about sharing his own opinions in his book. Also, as he loves food, he hopes he has the chance to accept a food show. He believes that has very good persuasion skills when it comes to food.

And in response to S.H.E’s earlier comments about all wanting to marry at 30, Calvin smiled and said, “If I was a girl, I will also want to marry before 30!” As he is still currently single, Calvin has his own hopes when it comes to relationships but he will not force anything. His planed marriage age has also shifted to 32 years, instead of 30, due to work. As for Chun, he says that even his fans are worried for him and hoping that he will get a girlfriend soon. He himself wishes to marry before 35, because he loves children and hopes to become a father as soon as possible. He also caringly said: “Also, if she is the same age as me, then having to be a old mother is also not fair on her.”
