Ang Lee Takes "Woodstock"

"Lust, Caution" director Ang Lee will start filming his latest movie, "Taking Woodstock," by the end of August, the Oriental Morning Post reported on Thursday.

The movie is a biopic based on the 2007 Elliot Tiber memoir, "Taking Woodstock: A True Story of a Riot, a Concert, and a Life."

Elliot Tiber is one of the founders of the famous Woodstock music festival, and the movie is intended to as a tribute for the fortieth anniversary of the festival.

Emile Hirsch ("Speed Racer"), Liev Schreiber ("The Painted Veil"), and British actress Imelda Staunton are set to star in the film.

Ang Lee will collaborate on the film with longtime partner James Schamus, a famous screenwriter and CEO of Focus Features, and the film will appear under the Focus label.
