(Taipei) - As Paris Valentine's ambassador for LANCÔME, on May 31 VIC fans meeting, Zai Zai received warmly welcome and support from Japanese fans. When Japanese fans found out that Zai Zai endorsed LANCÔME Rose lipstick, Japanese fans launched campaign " Forward to Taiwan...Stock up LANCÔME Rose Lipsticks".
At the same time, there will be a series of Lancome's activities held by ZZ in Taiwan. The fans expressed their determination to support their idol ZZ and have been launched for the Taiwan delegation to participate in these meetings, vowed to buy all the ZZ's signature Lancome products and collect ZZ's photos cards that are not sold anywhere in Japan.
May 31 was the first time that Japanese fans had close-up meetings with ZZ after breaking up with Barbie. Upon learning some news from Lancome Taiwan's events days ago, the president of Japan fan club indicated that if possible, there were some married female fans who would do whatever they could including plastic surgery to make their lips look like Barbie's lips. Japanese fans also are very interested in the information about ZZ Lancome's necklace that come with Lancome Lipsticks collection, another favorite of Taiwanese mature women.
The Japan fan club expressed that because Lancome endorsement is only limited to Taiwan, there are many inquiry and interests from fans in Japan club. They will travel to Taiwan just to gather ZZ's collections.
According to Lancome Taiwan regional manager, this is the first time Lancome asked a male celebrity to endorse its products. Although it is limited to Taiwan, ZZ's charm and popularity have spread to the entire Asia Pacific region. No only many fans poured into Lancome counters and asked for more than ten sets in one time, but after going on market in only three days, a record sale hit 1/5 of two-months projected regular sale.
Fans from China, HK, Japan and others keep requesting the information. Even the fans from Italy phoned in to request information about ZZ's Lancome activities and bid in high price for all posters and promotions accessories.
These show that ZZ endorsement has created a Tornado of "Shuai-Ge" Economy and spread to other countries from Taiwan. Many Lancome divisions overseas show their interests and start to take notice on this development.
