Taiwan’s best drama couple are back at it in a new drama. It was recently said that Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin will star in a new drama together, well the stories weren’t false.

Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin are going to star in an all new drama called Love Or Bread.

This new drama is about Cai Jin Lai (Joe Cheng), a guy who lives his life in a of false lies, making the world believe he’s a wealthy young gentlemen. But in real life he’s a lazy, unhelpful in debt pauper. Zhen Shan Mei (Ariel Lin) is a poor young woman that very kind, filial, and a very hard-working bread winner of her family. She has a boyfriend, who she helps to support financially while he lives abroad in America. Zhen Shan Mei decides to go to to America in hopes that they will finally get married. Her parents don’t want it to happen so they don’t let her go. Later on she decides to go, but only to find out of he was lying to her all this time. He Used up all her savings and isn’t accepting to face her family. she secretly returns to Taiwan but when she returns she meets Cai Jin Lai and they come to an agreement and end up sharing a broke-down old house together. Cai Jin Lai and Zhen Shan Mei are totally opposite of each other, but have something they both need: Money. While the live together they begin to have feelings for each other. When Zhen Shan Mei ‘prince charming’ appears in the picture, Cai Jin Lai character knows he can’t give her anything like her ‘prince charming’ does so he decides to walk away to give her happiness. but can Zhen Shan Mei choose between ‘Love or Bread’?

This new drama is already done filming and is airing on November on CTV and GTV every Sundays. Zhen Shan Mei was supposed to be acted by Barbie Xu, but due to schedule conflicts she wasn’t able to take it.
