The rumoured breakup of Annie Shizuka Inoh and Harlem Yu was confirmed by a friend on Monday.

The friend, whose name was not divulged, told the Xiandai Kuaibao newspaper that the celebrity couple were actually divorced about three years ago, due to their "fading feelings" for each other.

The source also confirmed that Annie and singer-actor Victor Huang, who were spotted hand in hand on a Beijing street recently, started their relationship last year when they were filming a TV series together.

The 39-year-old Annie Shizuka Inoh is a singer, actress and author of a handful of Chinese books. Harlem Yu, 47, is a successful TV host and singer-songwriter, who created the first Mandarin rap song and was the first person to experiment in R&B in Chinese music. They were married in 2000 after a 12-year relationship and have a 6-year-old son.
