If you think that Bill Gates’ home is too futuristic then let’s look at the new billionaire Jimmy Lin’s home. Besides being an actor jimmy is also a business mogul and an IT guru. He opened his own studio chain at 18, owned an IT company, online shop in his 20s and his own brand of bags, accessories at 30. He also owns a car dealership, a racing consulting company, a restaurant, and a racing team. His software and surveillance company monopolizes the banking software development in Taiwan. He is also Taiwan’s youngest internet and web organization director. You can imagine how high-tech his home is.
His home in Taiwan is a high-tech center. All the appliances are wired remotely to his cell phone. He only needs to enter the commands on his cell and send them thru GPRS to the server in his home to operate the appliances. Even when he is filming in China he can remotely draw the curtain. When he is on his way home he can remotely turn on the lights, draw bath water so he can take a hot bath after he gets home. Before he goes to bed he can touch one button and turn off all the lights in the house.
Jimmy also owns a high-tech house in Shanghai. He designed the interior and drew the circuit diagrams. Every room has its color theme. After you enter the front door, the living room is white. The kitchen is a warm yellow. The master bedroom has a blue theme. The ceiling lights have 8 different colors of changing sparkling star lights, with a vast outer space feel. The guest room is warm and cute. The multi-purpose room is apple green and can be used as a SPA, or a dance and exercise room.
He can control and monitor his home from anywhere that’s reachable by cell phone. There are different preset modes: star-gazing mode like the one described above; going-out mode that turns all appliances off before he leaves the house plus monitors for intruders.
